Support AUT’s Brain Health Research Institute
Nearly one third of people experience at least one traumatic brain injury (TBI) by age 25, and almost half go on to face long term challenges—making research in this area vital for the wellbeing of communities across Aotearoa.
The Brain Health Research Institute (BHRI) at AUT brings together researchers, clinicians, community members, and partners to improve prevention, diagnosis, and recovery outcomes for those affected by TBI.
BHRI unites expertise across New Zealand and internationally to discover better ways to prevent injury, support recovery, and translate evidence into meaningful change for patients, whānau, and health services. Their work spans all ages and settings—from sport and workplace injuries to everyday accidents—ensuring research that matters reaches those who need it most.
By giving to the Brain Health Research Institute through the AUT Foundation, you help accelerate vital research, strengthen clinical tools, and support innovations that can transform long term outcomes for people living with the effects of brain injury. Together, we can build a healthier future for our communities.
