Supporting RISE Hospitality & Tourism Scholarship
The RISE Hospitality & Tourism Scholarship is a partnership between Pro-invest Group and AUT Foundation that helps remove financial barriers for aspiring hospitality students while creating opportunities for the next generation of industry talent.
The RISE programme - Reaching for Inclusion through Scholarships & Experiences is funded through the generosity of hotel guests, team members and supporters across Pro-invest Group's New Zealand hotels, the scholarship provides $5,000 towards tuition fees for an AUT student pursuing a hospitality or tourism-related qualification.
Guests staying at voco Auckland City Centre, Holiday Inn Express Auckland City Centre and voco Queenstown are invited to contribute to the scholarship fund through a simple donation programme displayed throughout each hotel. Every donation helps invest in the future of New Zealand's hospitality industry by supporting talented young people who may otherwise face barriers to tertiary education.
The scholarship is available to students enrolled in eligible hospitality and tourism programmes at AUT, including the Bachelor of International Hospitality Management, and Bachelor of Arts Global Tourism and Culinary Arts pathways. In addition to financial support, recipients may have access to mentoring, work experience, internship opportunities, and potential employment pathways across the Pro-invest Group hotel portfolio.
